Melomed Oncology
Our state-of-the-art Melomed Oncology units are currently available at our Melomed Tokai and Melomed Gatesville hospitals. The facilities currently caters for the chemotherapy needs of patients with breast, colon cancers and lymphomas. The Oncology Units feature six and eight treatment stations respectively at Melomed Tokai and Melomed Gatesville for chemotherapy patients, two beds, sluice rooms and a laminar flow unit where chemotherapy medicines are prepared by in-house pharmacists in a way that protects patients and medical staff from exposure to highly toxic fumes. Each patient has their own Lazy Boy with side trolley, their own flat-screen, state-of-the-art monitoring systems and nursing station. The units also showcase expansive views of Cape Town, making this one of the most therapeutic features of our Oncology Units.

Our free, Oncology Support program connects patients and families, fostering a community of shared experiences and mutual support. Join us to benefit from peer interactions, expert advice, and emotional support, all designed to enhance the well-being of our oncology patients.

Our Oncology Support Groups sessions are held on the last Saturday of every month at our Melomed Tokai and Gatesville Hospitals where you can connect with other individuals fighting cancer and find a safe place to share your emotions and experiences.

By attending this session, you’ll have the opportunity to form meaningful connections with others who are going through similar challenges, and together, you can inspire and empower one another.
